Bus Tour by Students from Miyagi University of Education


This tour will be led by MUE students who are from disaster-hit areas of the Great East Japan Earthquake. They will take you to places from Wakabayashi District and Natori City, two of the most devastated areas from the 2011 disaster.  
The students will also introduce other cities where MUE students visited and supported, such as Kesennuma, Ishinomaki, Onagawa, Minami-soma, etc, in the bus during these site visits*.

*Due to the time limitation, we will not visit these cities.

Schedule (tentative):
  8:30 Meet in front of Sendai Station (details will be sent to the participants after registration)
  9:00 Departure Sendai Station
       Visit The House of Horaguchi Family (Igune School): a Japanese traditional house resistant to natural disaster
       Visit Yuriage Junior High School, Natori City: a junior high school attacked by 2m tsunami
       Visit Hiyoriyama, Natori City: a small hill in Yuriage district where it was destroyed by tsunami
       Visit Arahama Elementary School: a school which survived from tsunami
       Visit Yuriage Farmer's Market: Lunch break
   13:30 Arrive at Sendai Station
*The schedule may subject to change. The final schedule will be sent to the registered participants two weeks before the tour.
